Luis Angel Arango Library
This is the National Library in my home town. It was founded in 1923, It has over 1.1 million items and is considered to be the most important library in Latin America.
It reminds me of my years as a language student back in the early 70s. We didn't have the luxury of a public library at college or nearby. It used to take us an hour by bus. Trips to the library were usually on Saturdays, the night before I could hardly sleep waiting for day break to go to the place of my dreams. The smell of so many books, the silence, the cranky looking librarians, our giggles, the frustation of not being able to borrow any books and, of course, my first boyfriend waiting for me outside... How much I miss those days ;0((
I've been using Flickr for quite some time now and love it. It's a great online community platform for photo sharing. You can even upload photos directly from your mobile phone. It has quite a few fantastic applications to play with.
